Coldest Festival Nights — A Camping Temperature Guide
How cold does it actually get at night at the world's biggest festivals? We ranked them by typical overnight low, with sleeping-bag ratings and layering advice for each range.
Why nights matter more than days
Most festival weather coverage stops at the daytime high, but the overnight low is what decides whether you sleep. A 26°C afternoon can still be followed by a 7°C night in a thin tent on wet grass, and after three nights of that, the weekend stops being fun.
The numbers below are averages of the daily minimum temperature over roughly 15 years of Open-Meteo archive data at each venue, across the festival's own calendar dates. In practice the coldest hour lands just before sunrise, and a clear, dry night runs several degrees colder than a cloudy one.
