NorthSide 2026 Nice-Weather Probability

Looking back at our time at NorthSide earlier this month, we really lucked out with some classic Danish festival weather that stayed remarkably consistent. It was a bit cooler and slightly damper than the typical June averages, but nothing a good denim jacket couldn't handle. Thursday started us off with on-and-off showers that kept the dust down, though the wind made that 18°C thermometer reading feel more like a brisk 15°C while we were walking between stages. Friday followed a similar pattern with a few short downpours, but it felt much warmer in the sun, making it the perfect afternoon for t-shirts and a cold drink. Saturday was definitely the standout for sunshine as the rain mostly stayed away, though once the sun dipped, the temperature plummeted to a chilly 9°C. Because of the clear skies, it actually felt like a biting 7°C by the time the headliners finished, which was a huge 5°C difference from the actual air temperature. If you brought a thick hoodie for those late-night treks back from the site, you were definitely the smartest person in the crowd. Overall, while we didn't get a heatwave, the lack of any proper soaking meant the ground stayed firm enough for sneakers, even if we all needed that extra layer to stay cozy once the music stopped.
