Detailed Roskilde 2026 Weather Recap
Now that the dust has settled on Roskilde Festival, we can look back at a week that really gave us a bit of everything. We started on Wednesday with absolute perfection; at 23°C, it was much warmer than a typical July day in Denmark, making for a dreamy afternoon of t-shirts and heavy sunscreen usage. However, things took a turn on Thursday when proper, persistent rain arrived, dumping 8.1mm and turning the dust into a bit of a scramble for waterproofs. By Friday, the wind really picked up, making the 17°C high feel more like a chilly 12°C, which meant those late-night sets required a heavy hoodie rather than just a light layer. Saturday saved us with a dry finish that felt like a classic festival day, even if the night air dipped down to a brisk 9°C in the tents. Overall, it was a slightly wetter and more volatile week than usual, so I hope you packed those sturdy boots to handle the muddy patches and a sleeping bag rated for those cold overnight lows.

Roskilde Festival is Northern Europe's largest music and arts festival, a non-profit gathering on the fields outside Roskilde that has run since 1971. Eight days of camping, art and a famously eclectic line-up draw around 130,000 people each year.
