Sónar 2026 Nice-Weather Probability

Now that the dust has settled on Sónar 2026, it is safe to say we were treated to a truly classic Mediterranean scorcher that was significantly hotter and drier than what Barcelona usually sees in mid-June. Thursday started things off with a perfect glow, though the humidity meant it felt like 30°C rather than the 27°C on the thermometer, making the outdoor stages feel like a warm hug from the very first beat. Friday cranked the heat up even further, and by Saturday we hit the peak of the weekend with a high of 31°C that felt like a heavy 33°C on the ground. Because the air was so thick and there wasn't a single drop of rain to cool us down, that heat really clung to the crowds, making breathable linen and constant hydration absolute essentials. While the typical averages for these dates usually offer a bit of evening relief, this year stayed remarkably warm even after dark, so those of you who packed light definitely made the right call. I hope you remembered your sunscreen and a handheld fan, because that Saturday sun was intense and the vibe at Sónar by Day was definitely more about finding some shade than hunting for a jacket.
