Fuji Rock Festival 2026 Nice-Weather Probability

Now that we are all back home and drying out, it is safe to say that Fuji Rock Festival 2026 was a true test of our spirits and our waterproof gear. It was significantly wetter and weirder than a typical year in Yuzawa, with every single day delivering a proper soaking that far exceeded the usual July averages. Friday was an absolute steam bath where the high of 29°C actually felt like a crushing 36°C because of the intense humidity, making the afternoon sets feel quite oppressive. By Sunday, the temperature dropped to a high of only 24°C, but with over 23mm of rain falling, it was by far the wettest and muddiest day of the weekend. Even though the air was technically cooler, that thick humidity meant it felt like 28°C on the ground, so we were all sweating under our ponchos. Those of you who brought heavy-duty trekking boots and spared no expense on high-quality rain shells definitely had the best time, as the campsite turned into a bit of a swamp by Saturday night. It was definitely more of a year for surviving the elements together rather than lounging on the grass, but the shared struggle only made those headline sets feel more legendary.
