About NorthSide
NorthSide is a three-day festival in Ådalen on the edge of Aarhus, known for its sustainability focus and a line-up that balances Scandinavian indie with international headliners. It draws around 40,000 attendees a day in early June.
Typical weather
Early June in Aarhus is early Danish summer: highs of 16–20°C, cool nights of 9–12°C, and a real chance of showers blowing in off the bay. Full sun is the exception, not the rule.
How weather shapes NorthSide
The site is open parkland next to the fjord, which gets breezy and cold fast when clouds roll in — light jackets are essential even when the forecast looks fine. Heavy rain turns paths muddy, but the festival's strong infrastructure keeps things running. Long Nordic evenings of light until 10pm are the upside.
