Graspop Metal Meeting 2026 Nice-Weather Probability

Now that the dust has settled on Graspop Metal Meeting, we can all agree it was one of the sweatiest years in memory. Every single day was significantly hotter than the typical 21°C we usually see in Dessel, with the heat peaking on Friday at a blistering 33°C. Because of the heavy humidity, it actually felt like 37°C in the middle of the mosh pits, making the air feel thick and heavy. We started beautifully on Thursday with lots of sun and just a tiny shower, but the weekend brought some real challenges. Both Friday and Sunday saw proper persistent rain that turned the festival grounds into a bit of a humid steam room rather than cooling us down. Sunday was the wettest of all, so I hope you all had your sturdy boots and ponchos ready. Even the nights offered little relief, as it felt like 21°C in the tents, which is much warmer than the usual chilly Belgian nights. I hope you focused on constant hydration and sunscreen between those heavy downpours, because that relentless heat paired with the humidity was a real test of endurance.
