Detailed Untold 2026 Weather Recap

I hope everyone is recovering well after an incredible weekend at Untold Festival. We really lucked out with the weather this year, as it stayed significantly warmer and drier than the typical Cluj-Napoca August. Thursday was the real scorcher of the week, hitting a high of 35°C, and while the humidity made it feel exactly that intense, the tiny passing shower of 1.1mm was barely enough to settle the dust. Friday remained quite muggy, with the humidity making it feel like 35°C even though the thermometer read a bit lower, so I hope you all kept your water bottles full and the sunscreen thick. By the time we hit the weekend, the heat broke into a perfect, dry warmth that stayed around 30°C for Saturday and Sunday. Those nights were t-shirt weather for most of the sets, though if you were back at the campsite by dawn, you probably noticed it finally felt a bit crisp. Overall, it was a beautifully dry run compared to the usual rains we expect this time of year, meaning your boots stayed clean and the vibes stayed high. Stay hydrated as you travel home and get some well-deserved rest.

About Untold

Untold Festival turns the centre of Cluj-Napoca into one of Europe's biggest electronic-music gatherings every August, taking over Cluj Arena and the surrounding parks. Since 2015 it has won repeat 'Best Major Festival' awards and pulls around 90,000 attendees per day.

Typical Untold weather

Early August in Transylvania is warm continental: highs of 26–29°C, nights of 14–16°C, and a moderate chance of late-afternoon thunderstorms rolling off the Apuseni mountains.

How weather shapes Untold

The city setting means shelter, food and air-conditioned bars are never far away, which softens both heatwaves and storms. Thunderstorms occasionally pause outdoor stages, but the festival's many indoor venues keep the night running. Cool nights are a relief after the long, hot afternoons.
