About Primavera

Primavera Sound takes over the Parc del Fòrum on Barcelona's seafront every June, mixing alternative, pop, hip-hop and electronic acts late into the night. Its taste-making line-up and Mediterranean setting have made it one of Europe's most copied festivals.

The Parc del Fòrum is concrete and almost completely unshaded, so the afternoon sun is the main enemy — most regulars don't bother showing up until evening. Sea breeze keeps the night stages tolerable, but the same humidity means you're sweating through your shirt by the second band.
