Awakenings Festival 2026 Nice-Weather Probability

What a weekend we just had at Awakenings Festival in Hilvarenbeek. We truly lucked out because it was significantly hotter and drier than a typical July in the Netherlands, with temperatures soaring up to 30°C and staying well above the usual 22°C average. Friday was the perfect start with pure t-shirt weather and plenty of sunshine, though the air felt closer to 29°C once you were dancing in it. Saturday and Sunday were absolute scorchers where sunscreen was your best friend, as there was practically zero rain besides a blink-and-you-miss-it passing shower on Sunday evening that barely dampened the dust. Even the nights in the tents were much warmer than the typical chilly 14°C we usually expect, so those thin sleeping bags were finally enough. My best tip for a weekend like this was definitely staying hydrated at the water stations and keeping those fans moving, because the humidity on Sunday made that 30°C heat feel even heavier in the middle of the crowd. It was a legendary, bone-dry edition that required way more shade-seeking than rain-ponchos.
