Awakenings Festival 2026 Nice-Weather Probability

We really lucked out with the weather for Awakenings Festival this year, as it was significantly hotter and drier than a typical July in Hilvarenbeek. While we usually expect a bit of rain and temperatures in the low twenties, we instead enjoyed a relentless heatwave with three straight days of pure sunshine. Friday kicked things off with a perfect 28°C that felt like 29°C in the sun, making it absolute t-shirt and tank top weather from the moment the gates opened. Saturday was the true scorcher of the weekend, hitting a peak of 30°C, and since the humidity made it feel just as hot as the thermometer said, the dancefloors were intense. Even Sunday, which saw a tiny passing spit of rain that you likely didn't even notice, stayed at a heavy 30°C. The nights were remarkably mild for the Netherlands, staying around 17°C or 18°C, so you probably found your heavy hoodies stayed at the bottom of your bag while you lounged outside your tent. The main challenge was definitely the sun and the dust rather than mud, so I hope you were diligent with the sunscreen and kept a water bottle glued to your hand to handle that extra heat.
